Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia is the enlargement of breast tissue in males, giving the appearance of female-like breasts. It contains the word “gyne” which means female and word "mastos" which means breast in Greek. Gynecomastia is a problem that is observed in almost half of the male population. Because this condition effeminates the male body, it affects the mental status of many males and can cause significant discomfort, especially during summer months. Gynecomastia may occur as a result of hormonal disorders, from side effects of drugs or from idiopathic (unknown) causes.
