Cruciate Ligament Injuries
In the knee joint, there are 2 cruciate ligaments: anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). These ligaments provide joint integrity in the joint and the two ligaments, known as the medial collateral ligament and tibial collateral ligament, which support the joint out of the knee joint. Such ligaments may be torn as a result of falling or sports injuries. Although collateral ligaments are treated with non-surgical methods, breaking of cruciate ligaments are generally treated by cruciate ligament surgeries.
